The front office staff and the maintenance staff are so friendly and professional. You guys are the best! The only thing I would ask is for better and more reliable appliances.

Hip & trendy building. Close to down town attractions. Great location and away from the hustle and bustle of downtown.

The view is beautiful and the they are great open floor plans. the downside is that the walls are thin and some of the residents are not considerate of others around them. I401 does make efforts to make it an enjoyable place to live and despite the things they could improve, it's been great living here.

Comfortable, quiet..even considering I'm on a pet floor. Convenient to many places in walking distance.

In general my experience at 1401 S State is great. My only complaint is about the treadmill in the fitness center that doesn't work. It's pretty inconvenient only having two treadmills. Also, the fact that there is no "out of order" sign on the treadmill confuses people. I often see people attempt to use it and when I tell them or they realize it doesn't work they get upset. Other than the previously mentioned issue, I would give the building good reviews.

Nina in the front office is amazing and offered so much help in my move in. The entire front office staff is very helpful and accommodating. David in maintenance is so helpful and always wanting to go the extra mile to fix any problems.

Great Unit, Great Location and Great Place to live. My dogs love it too.

A very good and stylish place to live in. They keep coming up with new ideas to keep us entertain. Parties, wednesday food stalls, a well maintain patio, well equipped apartment size gym, lounge are add-on. Very good commute accessible location. The only two things which i miss would be options of fast food restaurants in neighborhood [south loop is growing up really fast and no restaurants keep popping out. 1401 south covers this up with wednesday food stall.] The other thing would definitely be swimming pool. Most of the buildings of this category has swimming pool. Have recently renewed the lease and I like the place to live in.

positives: nice/spacious apartments, friendly door staff (Ruben is great!), nice view of the stadium/lake, close to transportation, freeway and a grocery store. negatives: hallway noise (you can hear anyone walking down the hall if they are talking or jangling their keys), was hard to get out the animal smell from the previous renter so/so: wish parking was a little less
